Volunteer Ministry Opportunities

Funeral/Meal Team
Our funeral ministry is used when we have a visitation or funeral service in our church facilities. Volunteers greet/host, bring food items, serve a meal, and/or setup and cleanup. A funeral meal coordinator would make phone calls to see the availability to serve and what food items to bring.

Hospital Visit Team
A care ministry where volunteers receive calls to visit a local hospital, to visit a member of Real Life Church during a hospital stay. The visits in the hospital would be considered brief, but would always include prayer and encouraging conversation. 

Prayer Team 
Our Prayer team is a group of people who receive a weekly email from the church office of all the prayer requests shared at our weekend services.

Youth Ministry
A ministry for Jr High (6th-8th) and High School (9th-12th) students, which operates on Wednesday nights 6-8pm and Sunday mornings 9am.

Children’s Ministry
Serves the RLC families by caring for and teaching our RLC kids from birth to 5th grade. We operate on Sunday mornings both services and Wednesday nights.

Welcome Desk
At the Welcome Desk we are the smiling face and “question answerers” to those who are new to our community. 

Growth Groups
Growth Groups are Bible based study groups that meet for 6-8 weeks. We hold these groups 3 different times per year. These groups are led by an assortment of people within our church community.

Connection Point
Connection Point is a Wednesday night experience that is held twice per year for 6 weeks. It is an opportunity for congregants to meet and connect with one another through some teaching and conversation.

Safety Team
If an emergency situation should happen to occur at Real Life Church, this team is trained and ready to assist the entire church. Whether it’s a weather incident or an agitated guest (and everything in between), this team is ready to provide mindful assistance for the safety of everyone involved.

Medical Emergency Team
When a medical situation arises, this team of volunteer medical professionals are assembled to assess and respond to the need. Whether it’s a bump and scratch in Children's Min, or something more serious with an adult, they are ready.

Building Maintenance Team
With over 46,000 sq feet under roof between the buildings on our campus repairs have to be made from time to time. This team makes repairs from changing light bulbs, to painting walls, and more based on skills.

Worship Ministry 
Leads the congregation in praising God through music, prayer, and creative expression, helping people encounter His presence. We seek to create an atmosphere of worship that draws hearts closer to Christ and unifies the church in glorifying God.

Connection Corner
Located in the church lobby, the Connection Corner is where RLC attendees can get more information about upcoming events, Life Groups, volunteer opportunities and more! 

RLC Life Groups (click here for more info)
Fictive kinship groups that share a monthly meal together in a home that pray with each other and for each other. 

Ministry Events
Church-hosted events that create opportunities for connection. (ex: Parent Mixer, Fall Fest, Church Picnic, etc.) 

RLC Women’s Ministry
Our Women’s Ministry hosts a few events a year to create opportunities for connection.

The Production Team ensures that every service and event runs smoothly through excellence in audio, video, and lighting.

Lawn/Grounds Management
The Lawn/Grounds Team cares for the church’s outdoor spaces, keeping them clean, safe, and beautiful.

RLC Cafe
Located int he church lobby, our cost-friendly cafe offers breakfast items and a smile!

Greeter Team
Our Greeter Team exists to help everyone feel welcomed as they walk into church. Whether it’s a warm smile, a firm handshake or just holding a door for someone, they just want you to know that this is the place you belong today.

Food Pantry
Every week this team collects, organizes and distributes food to families in need with no strings attached. Mondays are collection and organization days. The 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month are the distribution days.
