RLC Life Groups

Doing life together around a table.

RLC LIFE GROUPS

We know how important community is. At Real Life Church, we want to help you find your community through Life Groups. Our goal is to help you create and form fictive kinship groups that share a monthly meal together.

What is fictive kinship?

Fictive kinship refers to social bonds and family-like relationships that are not based on blood, marriage, or adoption but on chosen emotional connections and shared experiences. These "chosen" family members, or fictive kin, fulfill roles and provide emotional support similar to biological relatives, creating a sense of belonging and community.

RLC Life Group “Rules”

There are only two “rules” we ask you to follow:

  1. Meet once a month in a home to share a meal together.

  2. Pray with each other and for each other.

Community Will Challenge You

Community can be hard. Finding time, dealing with personality differences and communication styles, hurt feelings—the list goes on and on. But, it is in community where we are stretched, we grow and learn to love a little more like Jesus every day. Forming and building community takes time. This is a lifelong journey and integral to your sanctification—are you ready?

Ready to start or join a Life Group?

  1. Download and read the “RLC Life Groups” booklet— it has additional information to get you started.

  2. Fill out the “RLC Life Group” online form. This form helps us get you connected to an existing Life Group, let’s us know you’d like to lead one, and/or let’s us know a new life group has been formed.
